Hi, I'm Maanas Talwar.

My journey began in India and has since taken me to Dublin, Ireland, where I currently reside. Along the way, I've cultivated a deep passion for solving complex problems and building systems that deliver meaningful impact on a global scale.

I am a Software Engineer at Google, contributing to the Search team. My primary focus is to keep Search and AI Mode running smoothly, while continuously engineering improvements to enhance their reliability.

Previously, I gained experience in cloud infrastructure as a Software Engineer at Microsoft. There, I worked with the Azure Networking team, building the backbone that keeps the cloud connected.

I am a problem solver at heart, utilising my expertise in software design as the means to tackle complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions. My open-source contributions, including my work and mentorship in Google Summer of Code, highlight my commitment to collaboration and nurturing talent within tech communities.

Beyond the terminal, my analytical mind doesn't simply turn off; it just changes focus. I am a huge enthusiast of personal finance. I love discussing investing, taxes, and everything in between. I also tinker with home automation and game occasionally to unwind.
